Policy Education

Active Policy Solutions offers specialized legislative tracking and policy education services to keep our clients informed as the policy landscapes of the federal government and all 50 states rapidly evolve. We monitor and analyze federal and state legislation and regulations, and we have staff dedicated to interpreting what it may mean for our clients.

APS scans hundreds of bills to assess the impact on our clients’ interests in accordance with the legislative priorities they have established, to assess the impact of certain actions and regulations, and to provide interpretation and analysis in layperson’s terms. Each month, a detailed summary of all tracked policy items is updated and shared with our clients via customized federal policy trackers and state policy trackers.

In addition to legislative monitoring, APS also reviews and identifies pertinent policy (and policy-impacting) news activities across multiple subject areas on our clients’ behalf. News of an urgent nature is flagged with an appropriate summary and analysis for each client.

All legislative and other news items are summarized by our team in a way that allows for easy skimming and a quick takeaway of the most pertinent facts (source links are included for additional information) and compiled into a weekly newsletter called the Policy Pages; these briefs include the latest state/federal legislative and agency activities, including rulemaking, court decisions, legislation, and funding opportunities, along with related news items.

In-depth summaries and analyses are available by request in the form of memos or public comments with suggested courses of action. We prepare the summaries and related items for our clients for major events, such as federal elections, providing a full analysis of potential impacts.
